Hendwr Caravan Park is a second generation family business based on our farm that has been in the family for 130 years. Hendwr lies at the foot of the Berwyn Mountain range on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in the the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the beautiful Dee Valley.
Hendwr is a working family sheep and beef farm accessed via a half mile long, tree lined driveway with a gently meandering stream, off the B4401 between Cynwyd and Llandrillo, just outside the Welsh town of Corwen and around 7 miles from Bala and Llyn Tegid
The park provides the perfect place for a family holiday, a quick getaway or a weekend retreat. The countryside surrounding the park provides stunning scenery and is easily accessible from our farm for walkers. Our uniquely centralised position means that you are no more than an hours drive from all that North Wales and Mid Wales has to offer. Hendwr Caravan Park is just 30 minutes from Llangollen and only an hour from the beach at Barmouth on the free bus that stops at the end of the drive. The stunning Portmeirion Village is an just hours drive.
We have a range of walks of differing levels which can be started from the park. If you want to burn some real adrenaline we are half way between Coed Llandegla and Coed y Brenin, two of countries the best mountain bike courses and a stones throw from the Welsh white water centre.
If it's fishing that floats your line we can put you in touch with Corwen Anglers Association to be able to access some of the world’s best Grayling fishing, as well as Trout and Salmon. Access to the river Dee is only one field's walk away.
If that all sounds too much like hard work, why not sit back, relax and just enjoy the view. We have plenty of local eateries and pubs locally and if you’re really lucky you may catch the male voice choir on a practice night.
Please remember that you are required to have a current Natural Resources Wales licence in order to fish on the River Dee at Hendwr.
Truly environmentally friendly - 100% of the electricity used at hendwr caravan park is provided by our own renewable energy program.
FREE WiFi - We have our own dedicated fibre broadband network, so you can check your emails and browse the internet from the luxury of your own tourer or holiday home.
